im 38 weeks.. this is my first baby

it could be weeks or days nobody knows. My boys were dropped and wanting out with lots of pressure and even pulling the bag tight at 32 wks and i stayed pregnant until 36 wks.

Well - you never know, but within the next couple of weeks probably. The next time you feel really great and have a lot of energy - that's the sign that the baby is coming within a day. (From my experience.) The belly drop is just a sign that the child is "getting ready" to come out - but it could still be a week or two or three - unless your due date was miscalculated. Get your hospital bag packed just in case.

I dropped some at about 31 weeks and more at 34. I'm right at 37 weeks pregnant now, and have shown no real signs of labor.
Unfortunately, dropping isn't something you can predict labor by. It is, however, a sign that at least things are starting to move along. You can't set a date based on it, but at least you know your body is starting to prepare.

It could be a matter of weeks or days. Once the baby dropped, in my first pregnancy, I went into labor 4 days later. Good luck and CONGRATULATIONS!! :)
