My girlfriend was harrassed by the Dunkin Donuts employees as she walked out of the store after buying a soda. The employees found her to be cute(cant blame them) and they followed her in a car for 3 blocks. She told them to back off but they kept asking her to get in the car. It got to the point where she was crying. I was, needless to say, furious. I went there and screamed at them(I did not hit them though they deserved it). I asked to speak to the manager who was not around. I came back later with my friends to complain. They called the cops on us. The employees said I had a weapon. The cops searched me and found nothing. The cops let us go with a warning never to come back(I DID NOTHING WRONG). They followed me home, which was three blocks away. I knew they were following me and I drove extremely carefully. They pulled me over probably to just check the inside of my vehicle. The officer gave me six tickets, all of them lies! Was I wrong for defending my gf?

My friend(an officer) told me that this dunkin donuts gives out free stuff to all cops so I know the cops that I dealt with were just harassing me. I did not break any law in what I did. These employees are little goons.. Some of the six tickets I received were: driving at unreasonable speed(I drove at 15mph literally in 30 zone), rolling through stop sign(I stopped for 1 sec but I still stopped), improper right turn intersection(I MADE NO RIGHT TURNS FROM DUNKIN TO MY HOUSE), illegal windshield(I HAD THIS ONE ERASED BY ANOTHER OFFICER WHO SAID THAT THIS COP WAS A REAL B@*@*! I WAS STOPPED BY THESE COPS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE. HE REALIZED I WAS ABOUT TO ENTER MY DRIVEWAY AND HE DIDNT WANT ME TO GET AWAY WITH ME TRYING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. HE WANTED TO KEEP HIS FREE DONUTS! JUST TO MAKE THIS CLEAR, I DO NOT HATE COPS IN ANY WAY! I HAVE MANY FRIENDS/DISTANT RELATIVES WHO ARE COPS! ALL OF THEM AGREE THAT THIS WAS WRONG! I WONDER HOW THESE COPS WOULD FEEL IF THE SAME HAPPENED TO THEM

In response to 'QuiteNewHere,' I totally agree with your opinion. I wish I did call the police first but from my experience, calling the police for things like this does nothing. This is the first time something like this happened to me and I was completely clueless as to what should have been done. My girlfriend was so upset that I had to take her home. By that time, it wouldve been too late to call the police. all i hope to accomplish by this posting is to ask anyone that lives in long island, NY...please don't support/patronize any of the dunkin donuts out here..I have sent a complaint to the corporation and nothing has been done...dont support these scumbags...this could have happened to you or your mom, sister, daughter, etc!

In retrospect, I can only conclude from your question that the guys from Dunkin Donuts put in a call/report to the police first when you could have done it before they did and if you have done this, you could have made them pay for the trouble they caused your girlfriend. They simply beat you to it.
You see, if you called them first and said "Hello Mr police dispatcher, my girlfriend got harassed and followed home by the guys in the donut store. They would say "Come in and file a report and we will look into it. She has to make a statement.
Instead, things got progressively complicated with you going there, leaving, and coming back with your friends. Those people inside got really really scared.
This is the possible way they made the call "This is the yucky donut store. We are in grave danger from a guy who came and yelled at us accusing poor us of harassing his girlfriend. We have other customers in the restaurant and now he is back with friends. We believe they have weapons and we are scared. Please come and protect us, Mr police.
When they mentioned weapons- and they very well may have exaggerated to get sympathy, the police immediately sided with them and came believing you were the bad guys .
It is not wrong to defend your girlfriend, but I think you should have called the police. Going there by yourself was not a good idea. Getting them fired by reporting the incident to their boss, sending their names and pictures, writing the local newspaper about the incident, filing a police report, those are more effective than just yelling at them

Next time , you should wait till closing time , follow the men just to find out where they live. At a later date, maybe 2 weeks later, gather your buddies, some ski masks and all the couped up rage and proceed to give one of the men the beating of his life--- Do not kill him or the effect will be forgone. Let this pervert know that he should not be terrorizing ladies anymore or this will happen again. This guy and his newly found philosophy will find his way to the rest of the men and they will get the message too. The reason why you only look for one of them is so that you can be as thourough as possible in your *** kicking without having to spread your energies elsewhere , in addition to infusing the other men with the terror of the possiblity of being beat to a pulp. They will daydream of how bad the beating will be and believe me their mind will conjure up ideas of how the experience will be that make the actual beating look like sunday church.
Now that you have done the deed, here comes the alibi part. Try synchronizing this glorious *** beating with a movie at the theaters and have your girl go to the movies and purchase tickets(totaling her and the number of *** beating participators) around the time that your fists are saving some other girl from these aholes. After the ab make sure you have a change of close, take the ab close and pick a place you can dispose of it. All you do after this is sit back and know you did something good.
As for the cops, they are all aholes , but you might not have a good case. Unfourtuantely 15 miles below the speed limit is considered unresonable and the stop has to be a full stop which leaves the right turn questionable in the eyes of the judge. I would fight it nonetheless and explain the judge the situation. Good Luck ;)
P.S. For the azz beating remember, full body suits, ski masks, gloves and hairnets. No spitting or peeing , we do not want that pesky DNA to come up.

Your g/f may have been able to have the guys arrested for stalking, harrassment and other charges if you (mostly she) had gone to the police and made a report. Once she made the report there would be a WRITTEN copy of what her side of the story was. And they'd be in jail or a few dollars lighter for a while. Anger is a bad thing to go with when confronting someone and going back with your friends was even worse. You weren't wrong in defending her you just went a little overboard I think

I got 3 Bunk tickets.
It does not matter if you go to court and tell the truth. The cops will lie again, and the judge will back them.
I call it " Railroading for Revenue"!
One ticket took me two years to pay off!!!
I don't know how to stop them. We can't lie to a cop w/o breaking a law, but they can lie to us, and sure do.

Um, you weren't wrong to defend your girlfriend. How you handled it was wrong, for sure.
Take this to traffic court. Show up, explain the entire situation, let the police officers try to explain what they were doing to the judge.

All you need to do is take them to court(the tickets) you should have a court date in the mail, or it shouild say on the tickets, how to make an appeal, just go to court and explain this to the judge,(bring any wittness's if you have any) he will either drop the case or lower your fines.

Geesh, I am so glad you found your receipt! Also, if you usually loose reciepts and things of that nature, just make a note of your transactions on your calendar and ALWAYS include the contact persons' name!
