I'm trying to come up with ideas for making name tags out of wooden butterflies. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you want to wear the name tags the butterflies need a pin in the back, or a lanyard.
You can glue on most of the pins, glue pistol will do for that.
For a lanyard you will need one or two holes in the butterfly so you can feed the string through.

To write your name on, take a plain or moderately plainly decorated butterfly, and just write it on with marker, paint, in case of un-painted wood you can use a burning tool.
Or attach stick on letters.
If you want to decorate the area with the names, make sure the name stands out, the decorations should not make the name hard to read.
