NO chainletters are a scam to see if they can sucker people into doing things because "You'll die at 11" etc etc etc
Ignore them / bin them but above all DO NOT send them to everyone you know, you just lsoe friends, that much IS for sure

I'd say more than 98% of them are fake. There are some that are real though, like ones talking about sick kids & things like that, but only rarely. Check out snopes.com. They investigate that kind of stuff & expose it as true or false. And it's an interesting web site aside from that stuff.

Of course chain letters aren't true. You actually can copy and paste the beginning of a chain letter into http://google.com or http://yahoo.com anddifferent sites will show up with that same chain letter as a hoax (which means something is fake)
