I recently had a sprained left knee... Walking on the knee doesnt hurt anymore but I cannot bend my knee all the way. My knee is either still a little swollen OR has fluid in it. I believe that it has fluid in it.

I just want to know if I cant bend my snee because of the "swollen" or "fluid filled" knee?

PLEASE DONT TELL ME TO GO TO THE DOCTER BECAUSE I WILL BE GOING. I WILL BE GOING TO THE DOCTORS ANYWAY...

thanks

i had surgury and couldnt bend my knee for months.. i had to have fluid drained out and out each week.. it would fill up so much that i was in pain... even after the last surgury, i could not bend it, even with 4 months of physical therapy, one day i fell on it, and could not move it at all.. a few days later, i got full bend back to my knee... but yes, to answer your question, if there is enough fluid, you wouldnt be abe to bend it..

fluid does in fact prevent a knee from swelling. make you an ice pack using 1cup of rubbing alcohol and 2 cups water. put it in a freezer ziplock bag ( good idea to double bag). the ice pack will not totally freeze but become slusshy. put it in a pillow case and on you injury for 15 minutes at a time as well as raising the knee above the level of your heart (laying down and prop you leg on 2 pillows). it should go away . I had knee surgery 3 months ago and this is the regimen my physical therapist put me on. it actually works when i take the time to do it

it seems which you have cartilage harm on your knee. in case you have gotten a dip, the cartilage is disappearing. which may even account for the snapping ingredient of it. actually, i'm virtually valuable that that's what it is on condition that mine is the comparable skill. lf you have gotten been athletic, or once you're genetically vulnerable to knee subject concerns, it fairly is maximum possibly what is going on. An X-ray might tell for specific. It it is the cartilage, then you definately've gotten a pair of judgements: a million. stay with it. If the suffering is achievable, it fairly is customarily the severe-high quality factor to do. 2. Have orthroscopic surgical operation. this might clean out the "floating" cartilage on your knee. 3. Have a cartilage transplant. This effect in gigantic scars on the two part of the knee. additionally, they have not been doing it too fairly long, so it is tough to envision skills solid fortune quotes. 4. Have a knee replace. They can no longer do this till you're critically injured or a minimum of into middle age. The replacements do no longer very final and you will finally have have been given to have yet yet another one. This surgical operation additionally effect in gigantic scars on the two part. while it hurts, substitute ice and heat temperature, and don't guard it in all people function for too long. in specific circumstances it fairly is assisting to placed on a knee brace or bandage. Be very careful while you're working around concerns. once you're cartilage undesirable, it is going to harm like hell while you hit your knee on some factor. My advice is to stick to it. My harm was once detected 2 many years interior the previous, they typically stated me that if I provide up dancing ballet that day, i might walk on my knees for 5 years. They additionally suggested that if i did no longer provide up dancing, i might have 3 years. I danced solid into my 20's and am 35 now. i'm working on my own knees. specific, they harm as a rule, although for me, no longer between the available selections was once extremely worth it. i'm waiting till they are waiting to do transplants orthroscopically, so the scars could be small. Then i'm in!
