The is probably the best question you have asked that I have read.

I am almost tempted not to answer it.

But, I answer questions. That is what I do.

Your answer relates to the story of "Frankenstein".

The story was created after Mary Shelly had just had a miscarriage and was considering the possibility of having another baby. The story was she did not want to and one night when riends were over at the house a game was played as to who could come up with the best scary story and Frankenstien was her tale.

If you have read the book and I guess you have the thrust of the story is that after trying to create the perfect life and been face with an abomination Frankenstien is asked to create another abomination which he refuses to do. The second abomination is supposed to be female and it reminded him in part of his recently diceased fiancee.

Long story short, he refuses to create the abomination because it would not be as good as the dream or the original.

The unknown is not with in us but we dream of it time and time again and most of those dreams become nightmares.

Shelly was afraid of the child she had yet to have, the pregnancy she had yet to experience, the loss she had yet to endure and she placed in in a metaphor so that people like you and I could learn that not all dreams are of our creation, some dreams are beyond our control and those are the ones that haunt us until the day we die, like Frankenstein and his abomination.

Like I said, great question. I hope you find the answer you are looking for.

I think that U can dream something new. Even when it wasn't inside. I dreamt that I was watching a movie and the next day I was watching that movie I was dreaming of last night because it came on tv even though I never watched it before I already knew the ending!

I know that personally I read ALOT of books. Major abundance. And most of those books are fantasy wizard dragon fairy kinda stuff. But when I dream (and I dream vividly and remember them about 3 or 4 times a week) It's a kind of mishmash of information I've read and the images I've imagined while reading along with my own experiences. For example I dreamed once that I had to save the American flag from spirit filled tornadoes. At that time I was in high school (been a long time ago ok?) in the Air Force ROTC and have always been fascinated with tornadoes. Hope that helps.

How do you know for sure it wasn't already inside you? Some people have the gift of prophetic dreams, I truly believe that. Whether they know that's what the dreams are or not is another story...

Most dreams come from life experience which is outside and has nothing to do with the inside of a person.

I don't personally think you could. I have a cousin who works for the military (he's a civilian employee). He said that the things in science fiction movies (such as Star Wars, etc) are nothing compared to what they are working on perfecting now.....if you can dream it or conceive of it, you can make it happen. Some sleeping dreams don't seem to make sense, but they're usually tied in w/ the realities, knowledge, stresses, etc. of our own lives.

I've had some wild dreams - how 'bout you? :-) bbjo

Dreams start off as a spark and can become a flame that shows you the way to achieving your dreams!

No not all dreams I believe some people have dreams....
Maybe God is trying to warn us or something. So I don't think it has to be in me to dream something because I have dreamed stuff I don't know nothing about....Had to go ask people.
:D

Well...I don't think you can.

Dreams are just some weird manifestation of reality (when talking about sleeping).

Dreams are something that you can be for the future, so therefore it is inside you anyway (when talking about what you would like to come true with your life).
