Not to make this question all about me...but it is. Just a word to all of you annoying anti-smoking people who like spitting out those facts that we have all heard so many times, please don't post anything. I know that it can be very bad for you. Anyways, I smoke American Spirit regular, but I am not the kind of smoker that smokes a pack a day. I don't "need" cigarettes, but it is nice to have them. A pack of cigarettes can last me maybe 2 and half weeks. I have also been rolling cigarettes out of pipe tobacco, and smoke in the same manner. I have been thinking about getting a Denicotea filter system when I get my Perique blend. My main question was about perspective. Compared to other smokers, If I continue on this regimen or let it have a subtle increase, where do you think my health will be heading.

Well I have been smoking since I was 15 and it's not really because I want to but more of out of habit.Anyways to answer your question since I have been smoking for so long I have noticed in the last year or so that doing certain activities such as walking up stairs or what have you, it is a little harder to breath. Now mind you I don't smoke a pack a day either. In the last couple of years I have developed chronic bronchitis which really sucks in the winter time. I have come to the conclusion that smoking for me is no longer and option I want to lead a better and healthier life and I'm going to talk to my doctor next week about getting on the new drug called Chantix. Hopefully it will work.

I believe in your freedom to smoke.

There is no good study to prove that a filter system will reduce the risks of cardiovascular disease.

You may live long and healthy anyway!

This is a simple personal decision since you know the facts.

Your risk will be the same as other light smokers.

more than likely you wont be as bad off as the rest of us, especially since the general population that smokes, smokes things that have lots of additives.... your health will still head down hill, but you might die before it gets to you... look at george burns, you always seen him with a cigar in his mouth and he lived to be over 100... my uncle is dying with two black lungs, but you know what.. he has never smoked a day in his life.. it all came from the war..
