The best system for the 6 and 11 year old, I recommend the Wii. For the 15 year old and father I recommend the PS3, but the PS3 could be used for the younger children too, because Sony makes games that are rated E also.

The best system for a family consisting of the age range would be the Wii. The Wii has many games for all ages. It is relatively well priced compared to the other systems and it is also a lot of fun. I'm 21 and I own a Wii. Not only do I truly enjoy it but so does my younger brother. It is a great system to play with friends. I'm sure that everyone in the family will be able to find a game that they enjoy.

Well the wii has more family friendly games. It is very interactive and the sports games are fun to play with a group of people. The ps3 is the best all around system. The psp is good too. You came play games, listen to music, watch movies, and even upload software and use it as a gps navigation system.

If you wan't all gaming power it's the Wii.
If you wan't all the facy gizmos and gadgets go with the PS3.
If you wan't all the facy gizmos and gadgets and wan't to replace it with a new one every year or two go with the Xbox 360.
Handheld Consles
If you wan't basicly a portable PS3 get the PSP.
If you wan't Superb can't put down gaming system with a Gaming system yahoo Messenger go with the DS Lite (Not the DS.

Wii is best for the family because everyone can play. Xbox 360 for the average and hardcore gamer (and watch HD-Dvds with the addon). Not many good games out for the PS3.

In my opinion, it's best to go Portable because it's more convenient to play a portable videogame. You should get a PSP.
