Should men wear makeup?

Question

The question is really as simple as that. Are there things that they can wear, such as concealer? Are there things they shouldn't wear? I'm just curious as to others' opinions.

I believe men wear makeup on camera (newsmen) to hide skin flaws and I know a few men (straight) who wear concealer because they're afraid of people seeing zits on their faces. They're also quite vain, but that's another story.

I think it's a personal preference. If you feel a need to wear concealer, then do so. You don't have to hide it, because honestly, people shouldn't judge you for wanting to hide zits or blemishes.

Stage actors and actors in general wear eyeliner and makeup that enhances their facial features so you can see them from far away (mostly stage actors). Usually they put something around their eyes and along cheekbones so they're more defined.

i dont think that there is a special makeup for men, but I dont think there is anything wrong with concealer for zits or something. I actually tried to put some concealer on my otlder brother's "recently popped zit (it was red) and he wouldn't let me, lol, but I tried!!!! It sometimes seems that men actors where a TINY BIT of eyeliner on the bottom. I will stand by that!!!

only if they are a pirate or a rock star, no make up for men, its creepy. But they should have well groomed eyebrows ( no plucking or waxing- that looks really creepy, unless there needs to be a center part in a hideous uni-brow) but just take a small brush and brush up the hairs and cut off the ruly hair ends that dont fit in with the rest of the eyebrow. then comb them, its manly and attractive.

It is thought to be "socially unacceptable" for a man towear makeup. However, there are a lot of men who do. And I am not talking about the rocker type who wear eyeliner...that's a different story. But I imagine that the reason a man would wear makeup is to improve the look of his skin...I would suggest investing in a good skin care line. The you don't need makeup. Unless you are going for that goth look...

1] everyone should be allowed to use concealer - if your boyfriend/brother/cousin doesn't know how, find someone to show him
2] 'colored' items like lip color, blush, liner and shadows should only be used for costume parties or concerts [ unless your last name is Depp or Navarette ].
3] I know several military men who wear foundation for promotion photos because they have such heavy beards with light complexions [ straight guys ].

Everyone should be allowed to look as they want, and if that includes make-up so be it. Live and let live. Personally, I think some men look amazing with when wearing make-up. Androginy is beautiful, as is confidence. Nothing sexier than a man who can walk down the street with make-up on and still hold his head high.

my brother wore a bit of under-eye concealer on his wedding and i gave him HELL for it lol

but im not counting eyeliner or kohl liner or whatever, that's customary in some cultures and it actually CAN look really good.

No men are not accepted in our society if they wear makeup. Any makeup. However I think concealer should be allowed! Girls also need to be secretive about it anyway.
