You must be a really young parent. Are you concerned about him looking cool to the other kids at preschool? The idea is ridiculous!

Little boys with earrings look trashy. It serves no purpose and can cause infection. The decision should be made when the child is old enough to ask for it and can also handle the cleaning of the ear himself.

I personally would not get a little boys ears pierced, i feel that you should wait till he is older to tell you if he wants them or not. But if you really want to then I think 4 months is fine, I did my daughters ears at 2 months and I know plenty of people that have done there daughters ears earlier than that. I just think you should wait for a boy because they are a boy and some boys/guys dont like having there ears pierced where has a little girl it is so cute and pretty much every girl does it.

I am the mother of a 15 month old boy and if my husband came home with his ear pieced I'd beat the living hell out of him. Why peirce that little boy's ear that is so out dated. But as long as they have had their 2nd set of shots then those at the piercing salons will do it. Frankly I think until the child is old enough to make the decision to have it done and take care of it, it shouldnt be done.

i think u should wait to see if he wants it done....and also thats 2 young n e ways bcuz the poor lil baby just came into the world and u dont wanna make him more uncomfortable with a sore ear! plus babys tend to scratch and pull at themselves expecially around the face...what if he pulled the earing 2 hard he could rip it out or just rip the inside a little which is way painful expecially 4 a baby!

I would never get my son's ear pierced...especially at 4 months old. I'm sorry but I find that ridiculous. I wouldn't get a girls ears pierced that young either. Little boys w/ earrings look silly.

I wouldn't get a baby boy's ear pierced myself, he can decide that later for himself when he is older. I don't think that would be anything cute for a baby!! why put him through the pain just for your own desire of doing that? he may not remember it but you will . I can't see sticking a baby for no good reason, they get enough sticks when they have to have their shots and you know it hurts them cause they cry so loud!! I think its sad when they have to get a needle stick . So why do that to him? But thats just how i feel about it and everyone is different i know !

I did my sons at 9 months. The dr said that you have to wait until atleast after the tetnus shot but you have to watch how easy the baby gets sick and gets infections. Also if your son pulls at his ear a lot then now is not the time.

If i were you I wouldn't pierce my babys ear. Boys don't need their little ears or anything else pierced. Why do you want to do this to your baby?
