Why would he want to do that? I guess only if he wants to live his life off the government....shopping with food stamps.....and driving a junker clunker. Sure, tell him to go ahead.

Yes he can.. But he will not be able to get his drivers license..
Also they may come back on his parents. There are laws set up that hold the parent legally responsible to keep their child under control until age 18.
I think that this law is wonderful. Parents should be more involved and take a stand.
To the Idiot(idiots) that wrote above about how they are bringing the average down and that your Governor needs an education...
Before you run your mouth about something you know nothing about.. Do some research on your own state.
Don't be so hateful towards someone that you know nothing about. Where someone lives doesn't make them or break them.
Obviously you are not the brightest color in the box or you could have responded with something better than what you did.
I hope that your brother changes his mind. He will not regret staying in school...
Stacie....

Yes. However, he will not be able to obtain a driver's license until he is 19 years old if he drops out. Alabama mandates that you must be enrolled in school to have a driver's license under the age of 19. The only exceptions are for high school graduates or GED recipients. THERE IS NO EXCEPTION FOR PREGNANCY.

16-28-3. Ages of children required to attend school. Every child between the ages of seven and 16 years shall be required to attend public school, private school, church school, or be instructed by a competent private tutor for the entire length of the school term in every scholastic year
Thus it appears he can. It would obviously be very foolish of him to do so unless he is independently wealthy, and without even a high school education, he probably would not be for long.

Probably. Alabama should have stuck with the whole secession idea from 1861 and joined Mexico. I'm tired of you people lowering the average. Take Mississippi and Louisiana with you. Bottom line: don't finish high school, get ready to work for minimum wage until you die.
