Where are some good places to go metal detecting in Utah? I'm looking for specific locations not generic answers or websites. I'm looking for personal experience. I'm gonna be in the area for a while and would like to go if I can find some good places. Also what are some good things you've found metal detecting in Utah?

Sorry i can't really answer the question the way you want, but most people that find a good place won't tell you and the ones they will mention one, will have been picked over. When you get there, find some old timer's and pick their brains as to what happened where and go from there. Just like collecting coins, one has to be smarter than the dealer. living here in New Hampshire I have gone out with people with metal detectors to show them where I think they will find something. So far I have helped them find Spanish American coins as well as American large cents and colonial coins. they find them I buy them. We all make out that way. Good luck, maybe you will find a Mormon gold coin.

I dont think your really going to get any serious answers! No one is going to give you their prized hot spots to hit with your metal detector, so you asked a generic question and you will get generic answers!

If you want to find some good spots to metal detect, quit being lazy and learn how to do some research! Thats just the way things are, good sites are hard to come by, you wont find many people willing to blurt out their sites in a one on one situation let alone on the web.

Violation of a clearly stated company policy is MORE than enough justification to fire someone. In the case of an over-zealous security guard, the company would be sued for negligence if any security guard attempted to disarm a robber and a customer was injured. Just because you "do the right thing", even to save your own life or to protect others, doesn't mean your employer has to keep you after violating policy.
