University of Phoenix is regionally accredited by the North Central Association. This is the same accreditation that all of the public universities in that part of the country hold.

All of the six regional accreditors accept the accreditation of the others.

It's ok, most people who aren't college registrars don't understand the system of accreditation at all. It's sufficient to say that UoP is regionally accredited

Now, understand, a college is not required to accept credit from any other college. Transfer of credit is not a right. I transferred once from one state school in SC to another in SC and the new school didn't accept a lot of hours. The one I transferred from was the flagship research university in the state. Schools simply are not ever required to accept credit in transfer if they don't want to.

Most schools will accept your credit from UoP with no issue if they normally take transfer from other colleges. The only way to know for sure is to ask.

The next question though is, if you are planning to transfer the credit, why are you taking the courses at UoP? They are very expensive when compared to the major state universities that also offer online coursework.

I was just looking it up myself. Look up ACCSCT and see if you can find anything on them that's what I am doing right now too. I took a break and found your question. ACCSCT stands for accediting commission of career schools and college of technology. Basically what I have read so far is that is for them to be set up with a complaint forum for the students. Then they would figure out if the school is not doing what they say they will and keeping up with new idea's and subjects. Hope this helps.

Yes, it is an accredited degree program. However, my experiences with them have been lackluster. I would start by taking only one class, so that you can see if you like their approach to education or not.
