I don't but I would guess that is your higher consciousness you are communicating with.

When I was a child, I would have waking dreams. When I would wake up in the middle of the night due to a dream, I would still see these phantoms exist in front of my eyes when lying in my bed shortly after, and would hear them too. This would last only a few minutes. As for in my adulthood, I experience this once in a while and not too often.
As for recently, I am a security guard and work the graveyard shift. When the night drags on too long or I pull a lot of hours (as I am doing now) I begin to see things. I'd see movement when things are not there and it is very unsettling. Remember however this happens under a long work load or a very trying night or long bouts of lack of sleep. I cure it by going home when I can and sleeping until my fatigue is gone. This does not happen any other time of my waking hours.

as a matter of fact i have heard voices when falling asleep, but I'm not asleep yet at all and no it isn't my voice i am hearing.
sometimes it sounds like a mans voice and other times its a female voice. i first became aware of these voices about 30 years ago when i was in my early 20's. that first time it wasn't just a voice i heard either.... there was a small cedar box with a locked hasp on my dresser and right after i heard the voice the box tumbled to the floor and the lock was broken off. i was totally alone at the time also.
i had no idea what it was or what caused it but just in case i began to speak quietly and calmly to the voice i heard...
been hearing a voice at bed time ever since and i have moved too since that first time.

Voices? I experience that 24 hours day seven days a week. Nothing special about it. I talk to people in my sleep, but I don't talk to voices awake unless it's a real person. I know some of the others are deaf, and some do not regard me as real, and some I do not regard as identifiable. The others are either as afraid as I am or they do not believe me to be real. Some are retarded, insane or physically deformed in one way or an other. I am certain that some if not all are exploited in this mode experience; science is not in every example ethically done. 'For God and country', 'we must build one before they do' 'national security', 'better sales', etc. etc..

I don't hear voices when I'm falling asleep, but I have really bizarre dream-like states. I could hear you talking, and be totally involved in my dream at the same time, and I get really disoriented. Yesterday, I took a pain pill at about 1:00, and woke at 4:00. I thought it was the following morning, and freaked out.
Then I realized what was happening, and fell back asleep. I love sleeping!

Cordova what about when you are trying to close your eyes and sleep and with your eyes closed in the blackness you can see images like people that you have no clue of ))) You can see there eyes and make out their face usually it is a man I see with intense eyes of sadness hahehe I have special gifts haha i think I am psyhic at times my intutions are strong aware and tuned up since I was a little girl :)) The voices I have heard outside of mind like chanting and singing. I have heard my dead aunt whisper my name as I almost fell alseep the day we buried her and I was extremely close to her and she scared the living hell out of me and I told her never to do that again haha but yes I believe you!! Just be careful that these voices are of the light and of God good news and not destructive....remember the Devil and his Demons they are very real.............pray and mediatate...always and think happy thoughts if you can before sleep :)))

it is your subconscious mind responding to ideas you were considering at some point in the day. When you are in the in between moment of consciousness and sleep you are more open to separate your mind's portions and have them sit almost as equals... that is just simple mind mechanics. When you sleep the brain is defragmenting its memory banks and tuning up its processor (this part is my assumption, but is somewhat accepted).
Not everyone experiences that!!!

Sometimes the people in the parking lot next door talk at all times during the night -- does that count?
