I do agree that the Red Sox were getting a few unfair calls, but that's not how the Yankees won. It was mainly offensive strength that won the game. Also, Pettitte and Clemens pitched well.

You're a whiner just like Varitek. "Oh we were one hit away", or "That ball was fair by an inch". WAH WAH WAH! It was a good game, the Yankees won Boston lost, but you still have a six game lead. If you want a bad call, how about the called third strike to Posada that went AROUND the plate by three inches. Is that what you mean by a bad call?
As for the Red Sox fans who say the Yankees won't catch Boston, so what? They don't need to. The Wild Card is the Yankees goal at the moment. Boston fans seem to forget that the Red Sox would not have been in playoffs in '98, '99, '03, '04 and '05 without the Wild Card. They didn't win the A.L. East in '04, so without the wild card they don't win their fluke World Series.

oh man, bad calls wasn't the problem. Lack of boston offence was. Red sox are still in a great position though with that 7 game lead, and that wild card race being tight for the yankees. A quick message to red sox nation. Stop panicking you morons.

It will be kind of nice for the Yanks to get into the playoffs so we can watch A-Rod tun into Yank-Rod and all the miserable yankee fans turn on him. That's entertainment!

Who cares about east coast teams they are irrelevant to the playoffs anymore. Look at the past couple of years and look what division dominated the World series, the central division in both leagues.
