Why are Republicans always blamed for US foreign policy especially when it comes to Isreal & the middle east when there has been 5 democrats out of the 10 presidents since the "creatation" of Isreal in 1948. My point is politics aside they policys have had as much affect on US foreign policy as Republican even argueably more. So why is it that it always seems republicans are the only ones blamed for foreign policy. Clinton pulled out of Somalia & answered 13 terrorist attacks with just 2 cruise missiles Carter allowed the embassy to be held for 400 & something days.

Please use spell check.

That is one thing that in all the partisan arguments often gets lost. The parties can be yards apart on domestic issues, yet historically are hardly different at all when it comes to foreign policy. Both parties are "liberals" in the sense of "liberalism" favoring free trade and economic prosperity for all, and that economic relationships make the best deterrent to war. Clinton pulled out of Somalia but they were there because of Bush Sr. I'm not sure where you get the figure of 13, there were 2 in Africa and 1 WTC bombing, and you will recall that Clinton got much flak for that "strong" of response. Carter also didn't sell weapons to them like Reagan did. Ultimately I agree that Dems and Reps have had some serious blunders. However I do think that overall Republicans have been worse, because of: Nixon (bombing Cambodia, promise of peace), Reagan (Latin American incursions, Iran Contra), Bush II (Iraq).

USA has ignored the Israel/Palestine conflict. Maybe because they've gotten themselves into a couple war fronts they have mishandled to the point of disgrace. As for our foreign policy? The Bush Administration can take a bow for turning USA into a foolish laughing stock and disrespected around the world. All our foreign policies have been monumental failures.

I think the US doesn't have a foreign policy. It's very reactionary, according to what gets the biggest headlines. sorry
