Can Skunks Climb Stairs

2016-11-07 08:57:18 · answer #2 · answered by manciel 4 · 0 0

Well first of all... skunks DO NOT CLIMB TREES. But stairs, yes they do. Depending on the height of the stairs it turns however more into a hop than a climb due to how short their legs are.

Look at it this way. Take a larger dog and think of how they climb stairs, they have no problem due to the lenght of their legs. Now think about smaller dogs with short stubby legs. They are still able to climb stairs but they do it a bit different, kinda like a hop. Skunks are like the smaller dog.

He has no grudge against you - the truth is you must have some tasty garbage. Animals have great memories remembering where the food is. Maybe he found some fruit, vegetables, etc. that he likes. In any case, it would be very helpful to this situation to keep your garbage in containers in the garage or in a large receptacle with a lid on top that is animal proof. Once he realizes there's no garbage, he'll move on to the neighbor's house for his nightly feasting

Yes. If they can climb the boxes in my carport to get to the catfood (I've seen them out there), then I am quite sure they can climb stairs, as well.
