First, the people who flirt are flirting with the people behind the avatars... why would anyone flirt with the picture?
Second, flirting can be furn! Y!A needs some of that right now!
Third, there are people who started out flirting and are now married, living together, dating etc...
Take it seriously? Just depends on the people involved.

I haven't run into any flirting, but I never have taken any flirting online seriously. I learned long ago that people aren't always who they claim to be online. The person behind the keyboard doesn't alway match the persona they wish to portray.
