The problem reads:

A delivery service is regularly priced at $50, with an additional 18% gratuity. There is now a sale going on at the delivery service at 15% off the $50 retail price. During this sale, the gratuity is calculated from the price AFTER the discount. In relation to the full $50 retail price, what percentage is the gratuity during this sale? List all steps.

I have NO idea where to start on this..... thanks for help!!!!

So the new price is $50 x 85% = $42.50

The new gratuity is 18% x $42.50 = $7.65

This as a percentage of the original $50 is $7.65/$50 = 15.3%.

(Which makes sense as that is 85% x 18%).

$50 + 9 = $59
50x.15=7.5
50-7.5=$42.5
42.5x18% = 7.65
42.5+7.65=$50.15
59-50.15=8.85
8.85/59=15%
