if someone find a cure for the cold how much money do you think that person would make?

if someone find a cure for it and sold the cure as a medicine how much do you think they would make

just to let you know, if someone finds a new gene...say one that could cure cancer, the cold, aids, anything...they can patent it and noone could use the information UNLESS they paid a ton of money! and thats if the discoverer wanted to sell! there are genes that have been discovered that have been patented and noone can use them. sickening sickening!!!! so im guessing, if someone comes up w/the cure and they were greedy, they could make alot of money. and not even have the cure be used. perhaps someone, company or organization who would lose alot of money if the cure was used, would buy the rights to it. nice question, nice thought you have. i hope the discoverer uses the information for the benefit of humankind
