Use PEMDAS (order of operations) and work from the inside out of the nested expression.
First, add the 8 and 5
5[2(13)-15]
Next, multiply the 13 by the 2 since multiplication within a grouping symbol comes before addition or subtraction.
5[26-15]
Subtract within the grouping symbol.
5[11]
Multiply 5 and 11
Answer: 55

= 5[2(13)-15] .......multiplication is higher then addition, so..
= 5[26-15]
