Quite some time ago, I believe it was in 1993 or 1994, The University of Notre Dame football program signed an exclusive contract with NBC that allows NBC to air all of the Fighting Irish home football games. Im not sure how many years the contract was for but it is still in effect.

Yes NBC did have the contract with Notre Dame Fighting Irish, that's why they always show Notre Dame football. But i think NBC wish they can get out of that contract right now because Notre Dame been horrible of a team for the last8 or 9 years. They lost 9 of their last bowl games and are way overrated in college football today.

Notre Dame has a contract with NBC to televise their games. NBC is unofficially the Notre Dame network

I get sick of that as well. They are always the most over rated team in the country too! And the most under preformed team.
