The original Evanescence with just Amy Lee and Ben Moody was magic; since the split and Ben leaving the band, it is clear he was the musical genius behind the songs and Amy was the voice and lyricist.

they were AWESOME in their first album, Origin, but then everything went downhill and now theyre not even metal, theyre ALTERNATIVE! yuck
but amy lee's voice is soo cool tho
i dont think they ripped off lacuna coil tho, besides the lead singer of that band's voice isnt as good as amy's

I'm not that familiar with them but my girls are convinced that they ripped off Lacuna Coil.
