I think the answer is simple - they've been losing to The Ohio State University so much as of late that they have to keep pointing to their team's overall record utilizing pre-1900 statistics. The Wolverines and LLLLoyd have no answer for Coach Tressel. But Meeshigan always has such high hopes and high rankings, only to see it all disappear in the games that matter most. Can you say, choke?

Yours is the most asinine explanation I've ever read. When I was a small child spending my summers at my Grandfather's house in Ann Arbor, I was taught to dispise Ohio State simply because they were Ohio State. The lesson has stuck with me ever since. What goes around comes around. Ohio State has has the upper hand the last 3 years and 5 out of the last 6 years. However, if we go back 20 years, the series is very close with Michigan leading with 11 wins, 8 losses and 1 tie. I really enjoyed what Michigan did to Ohio State in 1993, 1995 and 1996. If we look at the overall series, it is Michigan in the lead with a 57-40-6 and leading the conference series with a 45-40-4 record.

Like Earnie needs Bert and Starsky needed Hutch like Peanut Butter Needs Jelly..Ohio State and Michigan need each other.
It would be no fun going into November and not facing the u of M. And since we beat them so often I can actually enjoy it.The Wolverines simply havnt measured up to the mighty Buckeyes. You have NO answer to the Tressel.
Michigan cant win the last two games of the year.
And thats the two to win.No National Championships in decades for the Uof M.Unless you guys count co-championships.Which you probably do.I hope Michigan is undefeated going into the last regular season game. Then its Tressel time.GO Bucks

I am an objective Ohio State fan. They look back at the overall record, and we look back at 2006 when we stoped a chance for them to play for the national championship. They did it to us so many times, so I guess I know how they felt when they beat us in the Eddie George era. However, playing fair, Ohio State fans do seem to hate Michigan more than the other way around (but not by much).

Go Blue! Ohio and Michigans the states are rivals alone. Michigan over all is the WINING most team in NCAA histroy they have a winning record over OSU ( OHIO SUCKS UNiversity.) You guys had us 4 -5 last 5 years, The rivaklary is older the LLoyd Carr so how can be because of him? These teams have played eachother a ton! Lots of incidents occured in those years.!! I heared Florida has lovely weather. I also heard its too hot for short qbs, terrible teams, and buckeyes. You beats Michigan 39 - 42 thats not huge

I guess when you have a shi*ty team this year you will hold onto the past for as long as possible. The answer to the previous years is simple....Ohio State has been better and outplayed Michigan. A timely penalty does not hurt either.

The fact remains that Michigan is FAR better this year than Ohio State and you do not want to watch college football becuase of this.

Its a rivalry stupid. We didn't hate you any less when we won 10 out of 12 and ruined 3 perfect seasons for you (28-0 in the big house was very nice. So was Touchdown Tim and Chris Perry dropping 200+ on your punk asses). We won't hate you any more when the cycle comes back our way and we roll a couple in a row off on you (starting this year). Can You say Tressel gets exposed without Troy? Don't worry, I already did so you don't have to.

I am not a Michigan fan, but they lead the series 57-37-6, so you better get a grip on reality, plus Ohio State fans hate Michigan too, that is what rivalries are all about, everybody has them, they are fun and create school spirit.

Bud Light presents Real Men of Genius (Reaaaaal Men Of Genius) Today we salute you, Mr. Delusional Michigan Fan (Mr. Delusional Michigan Faaaaaan!) Season after season, year after year, you try to justify your absurdly high preseason ranking (clutching at straws!) Season after season, year after year, you scramble to make futile attempts at damage control when the Wolverines lose to a grossly inferior opponent (How'd Northwestern score fifty fouuuuuur?) Inevitably, you'll bring up the past, and boast of National Championships won 40 years before you born (those were the daaaaaays!) You will point out that you have more wins than any other program as though that is relevant to the current season (been playing since the 1870s!) Go on, ignore that home loss to your arch rivals in the regular season finale and continue to believe that you'll defeat your bowl opponent with striking ease (we'll win by thirteeeeeeey!) So crack open an ice cold Bud Light, oh Emperor of Excuses, and take comfort knowing that when you finish ranked number twenty, you'll be back to number three when the preseason polls come out next year (Mr. Delusional Michigan Fan!)"

I am not a fan of either team. i can tell you that there are teams i do not like, but i do not hate the fans. being a fan of the Big Ten i have gone to several diff stadiums to watch a game and i have never ever had any problems with fans from OSU or MICH. If you are going to "hate" anyone..how about Florida. can you say ouch!
