im a big fan of romance animes...my favorites so far are:
1.GREEN GREEN TV - futaba chan rules...i dont love all shy girls but theres sumthin bout that futaba that made me love her...u shuld check it out if u can...just endure the first cuple episodes. Also love the isolated environment
2.Iketeru Futari - animation aint great but i dont really care bout that...main girl is good lookin and thats necessary...i couldnt watch chobits cause i hate the robot look and idea. Again...Kitzumi is da best
3. Ichigo 100% - this might actually be 2nd place but anyway...one of my favs...wasnt too fond at begginin but it grew on me. liked the brave chick cause she reminded me of futaba at the begginin from GREEN GREEN
4. School days - only seen first 2 episodes on veoh.com and love it...might climb to number 1! but i cant find the next 10 episodes!

btw...seen love hina...it was good but i found it just good...naru just got a lil annoyin sum times...and im not a big fan of reverse harem...or 2 guys fightin for one girl
im up for infinite amounts of anime...so if u have suggestions dont hesitate to post just give me the slightest background on the show

:) Gave you a great list, and almost all of those are worth your time. I'm just going to second some of my favorites that he mentioned.
Final Approach : A great series if you are looking for a short and sweet romance/comedy.
Kanon 2006: Unparalleled series. I would say that this is a must watch. Be warned however, that there will be many, many sad plot lines throughout the entirety of the series.
Tokimeki Memorial: Great series for a more normal story (normal setting, no magic or mysteries or things like that). Still very heartwarming.
Seto no Hanayome: The best comedy romance airing. It started off a little slow for me, but after character introduction episdoes passed, I absolutely adored this series.
The only thing on :)'s list that I didn't like was Futakoi (and Futakoi Alternative for that matter). I just thought it was boring and slow, and it never lived up to the promise that the opening credits made.

Kaichou wa maid-sama- (Triangle came later) La Corda D'oro (way past triangle xD) Mashiroiro Symphony- totally had a triangle BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad- about a band but it also had a triangle Tokimeki Memorial Only Love (well all of these i'm listing had some kind of triangle or either further) Nyan Koi-funny princess lover Hidan no Aria-a bit of action... Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun (the art wasn't all that in this one :/ but sorta a decent anime Uta na Prince-Sama Tsuyokiss- not really a triangle but kinda one Hayate the Combat Butler- large shape but not a triangle xD Avatar: The Legend of Korra- I'm sure you've heard of this one, but this still had a triangle and a good ending :) (a bit over a triangle in fact lol)

heres a summary
Keitaro Urashima is determined to be accepted into Tokyo University, the hardest Japanese University of all to get into, because of a promise he made to a girl when he was young... a girl whose name he can't even remember. After failing to get into Tokyo U twice, he is kicked out by his parents and goes to live with his Grandmother at her hotel, but it seems it has been turned into an all girls boarding house. What's more, much to his surprise and to the tenants disgust, Keitaro is made manager of the boarding house.
15 years ago, a young boy, Urashima Keitaro, made a promise with a girl that they will enter Toudai (Tokyo University) and find happiness together. 15 years after, he has failed his second retake of the Toudai entrance exams. One morning he recieves a call from his grandmother, Urashima Hina, to go to Hinata Lodge, the same place Keitaro had made the promise with the girl 15 years back. Upon arriving, to his surprise (or shock) Hinata Lodge is no longer an inn, but is now a all-girls dormitory. To make matters worse, he was made the manager of the dormitory against the disapprovals of all the tenants.

In the future, personal computers have developped into "Persocons", mobile computers that look like human beings. Hideki Motosuwa, a prep school student, desperately wants to buy a Persocon but cannot afford to. One day he finds a Persocon that has been thrown away and decides to keep it. When he turns on the Persocon, all she can say is "Chii" so he decides to name her that. After a while it starts to become apparent that Chii is more than an average Persocon. Having much better performance, it seems that Chii might be a "Chobit", a type of advanced Persocon rumoured to have independent thought.

Peach Girl, although the manga is better. It's a shoujo anime with a love triangle among a girl and 2 guys (Toji and Kiley). It has romance, comedy and drama.
