There are a lot of factors which can contribute to an abnormal period, including stress, significant weight loss, and medical conditions. If this is a new development, you may want to see your doctor. Abnormal periods are common in adolescents. You could use a hormonal birth control method to regulate it.

if you just started your period then it is always messed up like that. i have had mine for about 2 years and it still hasen't straightened out yet, it takes a while. if you are anorexic (which you arent, right?) then anorexic people skip 3 periods at a time. other than that it is perfectly normal if you are yonger

there's a relation between breast-feeding and your era. in case you're breastfeeding plenty your physique protects you from over hard your energies by way of inflicting you to be much less fertile (think of how no longer hassle-free your physique has to paintings to breast feed and be pregnant - sucks each little thing out of you). this could clarify your sporadic era. See the link I published.

the older you are when you get your period, the longer it takes for your cycle to become a regular cycle. the first months are always screwed up. just be patient, and you neevr know when it will come. it really sucks.
sorry ):
