I want to pursue acting but I'm looking for a place thats a little less congested than LA so I was wondering if Florida would be a good place to seek acting jobs, don't some movies get shot in Miami? what about Hollywood, FL?

Also I want to know whether or not if you can make it big in Florida or will I have to eventually move to LA?

Hollywood FL is not anything like Hollywood CA. Miami does have acting possibilities, but I suggest contacting colleges in the area and see what programs they offer. Ft Lauderdale and Miami would be good places to start. Once you enroll in a drama program you can work at it and then look for an agent, once you have some work experience under your belt.

FL is ok. Hollywood, FL has nothing to do with acting.
If you have the ability to move about the country, I would go to Dallas or San Diego.

Go to Santa Fe/Albuquerque. Tons of production there, inexpensive and not congested. They do a ton....more and more all the time.
