When you go for your visa interview you are only going to have a very limited time, 10 minutes at the most. They will not want to hear long stories so keep your answers short, simple and to the point.

So when asked the question:
"Why do you want to travel to the United States"

Simply reply:
"I wish to travel to the United States for tourism and to see the sights of (which ever city you are going to)."

There is no need to mention anything about visiting relatives or friends and the is certainly no need to tell them about your upcoming marriage. They quite simply wouldn't be interested.

Remember the interview is not a test or an exam, just answer the questions posed to you as honestly as you can, keeping your answers brief and to the point.

Tell them you are a fan of Yahoo and you don't consider your life complete until you visit the Yahoo!Answers shrine in California.

Say that you were heartbroken you missed their first annual gathering so you want to go there to see where the leaderboard celebrities and Top Contributors stood on that hallowed ground.
