It may depend on whether you allow the dialectal word "hirple" 9or "hurple"), which means "to walk with a limp". I don't know of any other PERFECT rhymes for "purple".

It ALSO depends on what you mean by "rhyme"! A 'perfect rhyme' requires that ALL the sounds from the vowel of the accented syllable to the end of the word match EXACTLY.

But it is not always necessary to have a PERFECT rhyme. The very best poetry frequently does well with "near" rhymes in which MOST of the sounds match or come very close.

In this particular case, if you match the /ur/ and the final /l/ sound, a number of different sounds can go in the middle and form a very usable near rhyme . Try these:

herbal, burble, gerbil, verbal
serval
circle
burgle, gurgle, tergal
turtle, myrtle, kirtle
hurdle, curdle, girdle
nocturnal, vernal, eternal, supernal
thermal

The others have given you the words that fit, BUT, there is no "engilish dicsonary". Perhaps you should have looked yourself, in the English Dictionary. Your search might have been more fruitful if you had learned how to spell, and consulted a source that actually exists.

two words:

* Hirple is a British word, which means "to walk lamely or hobble".

and

* Curple is a word out of Scotland, which refers to the hindquarters of a horse. The current Shorter OED lists 'curple' dating from 1591.
