Don't make false economies. Do yourself a favour and buy the genuine article.
Fake Birkenstocks will most likely give you blisters at first, and they won't last more than one year; the straps will harden and break where they join the sole.
Real Birkenstocks are constructed to higher standards, out of better materials. They won't raise a blister even if you put them on wet, sandy feet. The cork footbed will mould to your toes. I've a pair that are five years old already and still going strong (though they could do with a new outer sole) ..... over the same time I would most likely have had to have bought five pairs of fakes, and if five old pairs of sandals festering in a landfill site aren't enough to worry about already, then I'd *still* have to buy myself a new pair next year!
You'll pay more for them, but they'll serve you better in the longer term.
