I am wanting to start up my own ISP, simple mail, hosting, browsing ect. with none o this 'Fair Usage' B/S and many other benefits. I am reasonable adapt with computers and will easily learn all that is required. but 1'st i've got to know what i need to learn.

I need to know what equipment i would need. anything recconmended?

Dont worry about finances. They arn't limitless, but i have that covered. Obviously i'm looking for a cost effective solution. any ideas o where tu start looking?

Who do BT git they lines orf tho? They can't B top of the chain, surely?

You will need to contact one of the companies (like BT) that operate the Internet backbone = they will advise what's needed to make the connection ..


NB> various laws in UK will require you to keep records of all activity of all your subscribers, so one of your biggest problems will be archiving xxx TBytes of records.
