It happened here about 4am and i didn't see it. BUT I have seen a couple and I have seen one Solar eclipse which cost me a GD fortune. Lunar is kinda cool. It's when the earth interrupts the light from the sun hitting the moon. It is a the shadow of the earth on the moon. I assume you know that the moon does not make it's own light. The solar eclipse is when the moon blocks the light from the sun on the earth. It is the shadow of the moon on the earth...and it isn't the entire earth. It makes a trail and you need to know where to be in order to get under that trail. I like like the lunar. But, the solar is a like a non-sexual orgasm and was worth every cent.

I saw it the other morning and thought it was worth watching. It was better than most because most of the time they don't get enough shadow on the moon to get a good coverage. The best one I ever saw happen on Thanksgiving night about 10 years or so ago. The moon was directly over head on a clear cold night around midnight. The Earth's shadow covered the moon completely. The full moon always washes the stars out, so when it was covered in shadow that night, all the stars filled the sky just like a cold, winter's moonless night. It was the best ever. But you could faintly see a brownish outline of the moon. I hope we get to see another one like that one.

It was beautiful..the deep red moon was incredible. I was enthralled for the entire time. I didn't get much sleep that night, and was tired the following day at work (it started at 4:52am where I live) but it was worth every minute of it!

I didn't know there was one, until I saw them show the video on the news this morning. I would have checked it out last night but I had no idea that it was coming.
