I would call the dr back, explain your new symptoms and request a pain med. I'm not sure about PCOS but endometriosis can not be diagnosed through any test, only through a laparoscopy. Making an appt with the dr will not make the tests come back any sooner but I would definately call them so that they could tell you if your new symptoms warrent coming in for another appt and ask about the pain meds! 5 years is a long time, but unfortunately that is pretty common with endo. It probably wouldn't hurt to call them a few days before the tests are due back to see if they have come back or not. I wish you luck.

Ask a doctor about ulcers. I've had a biopsy for endo and still get some build up and yes, it is quite painful with the only cure being remove the cysts if possible. Sorry to say this, but trust your doctors. Tests take time. Call them after 9 days. Sometimes results get in early. Endo is only threatening if it is not taken care of and watched with a yearly pap.
Don't take my word on this. Every woman is different when it comes to cysts and endo. Trust your doctor. Try to see the same doctor year after year.

I basically had the same thing happen to me. Was put off by my ob/gyn for several years before switching to one that finally diagnosed me correctly. PCOS is painful..and miserable. When I was finally diagnosed with it, it had been so long that I had incredible amounts of endometriosis and had to have a total hysterectomy. Finally I am pain free..but now battling a hormone war. It was worth it though. Please find a reputable doctor who will diagnose you correctly and LISTEN to you. Pain for that long is not good..and means there is seriously something wrong in there. A good doctor will do every test in the book to help you..without calling you a nagging nelly.

It took about that long before I properly diagnosed for endometriosis. I had about every test known to man that came back with nothing. Finally, I got to a specialist gyno that just put me on birth control to see if it would help. The particular type I'm on represses my period.
See if your doctor can recommend getting you started on a treatment for what you were tested for. If it takes, well then you don't have to wait for the tests to get back to start treatment. If it doesn't, then I guess that means you have to move on to something else.
I wish you the best of luck. I know how bad it can be. I still have problems from time to time. Its frustrating, its draining, but keep faith that you are not alone. There is help out there.

If this is endo,. and it sounds as if it is, do not torture yourself by waiting. I know how debilitating this pain can be. If you are in that mach pain call the GYN and explain this to him/her. You might be told to go to the ER. A day or two in the hospital for pain management may be needed. I have been there several times myself. The more pain you are the more stressed you will be come which will do a job on your immune system. If the ER is not suggested, maybe he/she can prescribe something for the pain. The burning you are describing is "normal" for Endo. It is causing inflammation. So, go ahead and call your doctor.

I have PCOS, this doesn't really sound like it. Do you have hair loss on your scalp? Hair growth on your face and chest? Lack of periods or very sporadic? These are signs of PCOS. You could have endometriosis, however. I heard that it's very painful. Be a nagging nelly all you want! Sometimes you have to really kick doc's in the butt to get some answers! It took me 10 years to become diagnosed with PCOS. Don't let them jerk you around. You should'nt have to live in this pain.

The nurse is correct. If I were you, I'd call and speak with the doctor and tell him/her that you can't stand it anymore and to put a rush on those lab results. One and one-half weeks is a ridiculous amount of time to have to wait for this. Meanwhile, have you tried applying a heating pad to the affected area (s)? It works for menstrual cramps, so it may be worth a try.

I watch for the subsequent episode of Bleach to function for me to get carry of. whilst waiting, I play around around right here, yeah, and a few people truly have intense themes and questions that I have been given over like a while in the past. the international truly desires help, i think of. If people pick my opinion and/or help, i will supply it, yet especially, I hate doing housekeeping, and God gets me for that, so i'm development a God-info deflection container all around me so as that once I die, He won't notice any of my failings.

Make a call and see if you should go to the emergency room.
If you do not find results, you might consider consulting a chiropractor. You may have a pinched nerves. Most physicians do not think about the structure of the body, just the chemistry.
