Uh...folks...the POINT is that it's not the Democrats who are banging the drum the loudest about "morals," "religion," etc.
And...it was the GOP that left the far-right religious fundies high and dry after they got their votes. Don't believe it? Google David Kuo and read it for yourself.

"I know you are but what am I?". Typical grade-school insults from most of the "answerers".
Democrats never claimed to be the party of "family values" or "morality". I would rather know who someone was beforehand than have them lie about it and find out later.

They cannot. As much dirt there is on the Democratic side, the Dems are not the ones touting a "holier-than-thou" platform based on a narrow, stringest set of unrealistic standards; unlike most Republicans, liberals realize that humans will make mistakes; the difference being that liberals want those in power who err to be held accountable, which the majority of far-rightists refuse to do when they are mired in scandal.
The same conservatives who continually preach about personal responsibility are almost always the ones who practice it the least. Rather, they'll find some other entity (usualy the "liberal" media) to blame for their mistakes.

Very few republicans or democrats hold every view that their party stands for just because someone claimed it. A conservative does not necessarily equal a republican. Just as a liberal does not necessarily equal a democrat. Most will register under these two parties however, in order to vote in the primaries.

I think it's just our country which is supposed to occupy the moral high ground and not their party in particular.
My understanding is, in that most recent 'bathroom' event the police officer showed his badge, Craig then showed his business card, I am lead to believe in some countries that would have been the end of it.

it's easy, the repubs lie.
what else is new.
but don't worry, between bush and the 'gang of pervs' they will likely be drummed out of our govt within 20 years.
who would have thought that john roberts would be the last republican serving in office?

That's a hell of a list compared to what the immoral left has done. Pathetic. I don't even have the memory on my laptop to copy and paste that much. I can just give you a few hints...How is abortion moral? How is gay marriage moral? How is letting pedophiles get a second chance moral? You be the judge of that JD.

Because Republican's set the morals and agenda... they don't necessarily practice what they preach. LIke how they believe that this world was created in 6 days about 2000 years ago... I don't think that the majority of them supporting that opinion really believe. it or they would have pushed high school biology to the curb by now.
They are simple Hippocrates and their supporters totally allow it.

They don't occupy any moral high ground. They use some aspects of morality to sway conservative fundy voters with a red herring. If the rubes are in a lather about gay marriage, they won't pay attention to war losses, high deficits and a f***ed up economy.
