The same - unless we are talking about net weight = 1LB and gross weight is the amount we are comparing......

If we are talking net weigh = 1 LB - just the weight of the contents, then the bag of feathers will weigh more - as the bag will be MUCH larger than the bag containing the cement.

eg:

1LB of cement + 3 ounces of paper bag
1LB of feathers + 10 ounces of huge paper bag

Net weight identical but gross weight (+packaging) = heavier on the feathers :)

Neither, although if it came down to it, I'd rather be hit with a 1lb bag of feathers then a 1lb bag of cement.

They both weigh 1lb although if dropped from a height the cement might land first because of wind resistance.

they weight the same but it would take a lot more feathers to make up 1 lb than the cement.

They weigh the same. Both are weighed in Avoirdupois weight, and are equal to 5,700 grains.
And each weighs more than a pound of gold, which is measured in Troy weight, and is equal to 5,760 grains

However, I would rather get hit over the head with a pound of feathers instead of the other two.

Of course, a pound is a pound; however, a pound of feathers has more volume than a pound of cement, so the buoyancy of the air will reduce its weight by a trifle more, maybe 0.05 lb.

2 lbs of feathers and 2 pounds of cement.
