My 23rd birthday is in October and my boyfriend wants to take me somewhere...I just can't think of anywhere I want to go. We are kind of on a budget but want to go somewhere nice and somewhere we will have fun. We live in Southern California near the city of Burbank but are willing to travel as far as need be as long as the trip there doesn't cost too much. I'm not really positive what our limit of spending is but roughly I will say try not to go over $800 but even less than that would be great...Christmas is just around the corner and we both have big families. A drive up the coats on 101 is very scenic and romantic. It can be done on a day trip or overnight. Lots to see and experience. Or try Lake Tahoe, it is beautiful all so.

Hawaii. You can both spend 4 days there for that money. You just have to make sure you don't go during a high season.

weekend cruise from L.A. they have 3 day cruises over weekends. also go to cruise critic and read some reviews of 3 day cruises. (catalina island and south)
