Well, it's pretty obvious that he wasn't a Democract -- because he kept running as a Republican -- and the only way to tell what party someone belongs to is what party they belong to.

As for being a liberal -- looking at his voting record, if he was a liberal, then he was voting conservative on every issue. Which means that he was a conservative for all intents and purposes.

But I forgot -- a lot of people seem to use the word "liberal" to mean "anything they don't like" -- so by that definition, sure, it's possible.

He's been in office as a staunch conservative for almost 30 years. His voting record is extremely conservative. If he was a democrat that would have been outed long before his homosexuality.
If a liberal is a homosexual, they are at least honest about it, not in the closet and they aren't into self hatred because of it.

What a pity that Republicans would rather cast off one of their own as a liberal just to avoid the shame. They like to characterize Democracts as defeatists and spineless but when faced with their own problems they too have to cut and run.

Nope he is just one of many closeted self hating homosexuals that thinks since he didn't have a good life because he is self loathing then no one should. He is so angry that many gay people have happy well adjusted openly gay lives, his jealously has made him crippled with envy, so he trolls bathrooms looking to be humilated by other self loathing closeted gay men. Now he has experienced his biggest fear and can finally come out and be himself but he is to old and ugly and probably can't get it up very often, so now he is just another failed closeted homosexual rejected by his own kind.

If I were him I would turn my hate to the republicans and out all the others, like Karl Rove, George Bushie Jr. Condoleeza Rice and Ken Melman.

No, he is a conservative Republican who has been hiding his gayness, because he knows the people of Idaho won't elect a gay Republican to the senate. I hope that he resigns or is defeated in a re-election attempt in the Repub primary. He voted for amnesty for illegal aliens. Throw the hypocritical liar out!!!

This is not an Democrat/ Republican issue. This is a values/morality question. Cruising for anonymous sex in a public restroom is both immoral, and unhealthy. Just for being so stupid, he should be kicked out of office. But as I often say, behavior like this is a career killer for Republicans, but it is a resume enhancer for Democrats.

Not at all. The Democratic Party doesn't insist that Democrats hide in closets if they are gay.

of course not.. He was against gay marriage and gays in the millitary.

You republicans have to own him He's on your team! Nice try with your efforts of passing him off as a liberal.

He clearly has republican traits: lier and hypocrite.

Let's see, he was a registered republican, ran for office on the republican ticket and voted the republican party line....

Must conclude no...and wonder how anyone with a brain would think otherwise.
