Many mortgage companies are going out of business.. is there a way I can find out who the employees are?

I doubt if you can legally obtain a list like that.
Employee records are confidential, and wouldn't be sold or marketed in any way.
You could Invite laid off workers to submit their names in some way, but that's about it.

no organisation provide you that information. you have an advert with a guy or female waling domicile donning a container and a tragic seem on their face. The advert might say "laid off? you want a yet another interest quickly and that i will help!!!"

Run an ad in the employment classifieds in the local paper..
