NO! Iggy's shouldn't have anything loose as a substrate, as they can eat it and get fatal impactions. Just use reptile carpet on the bottom. Get a couple of pieces so you can have one washing and drying at all times. Ig's won't last long in a tank--they grow 5-6 feet long and need enclosures 1.5 times their length in height!
