I've been on the birth control consecutively for about 7 years. I'm pretty good with taking it at the same time and have always had a regular period. A few days ago, I felt slight period cramps but thought nothing of it since I had my period about a week and a half prior. Then I noticed that the toilet paper was slightly pink, not enough to be considered spotting but it was definitely there. This evening I've felt slight cramps again (for some reason mostly on the right side) but I haven't noticed any pink in the toilet paper. I'm sure it's nothing but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and had an explanation. Thanks so much in advance!

Yes I have experienced this before. Slight pink on the toilet paper, cramping, but no REAL period. I was on the pill and I was pregnant. The cramping is what they call "implantation bleeding", its when the egg implants itself into the uterine wall. Get a pregnancy test with 2 tests in the box. Take one now and if negative wiat a week then take another. Use the first morning urine, it is more accurate.

It could be an infection going on (certain kinds of infections can cause spotting to occur) or your body becoming immune to the birth control pill brand you are on right now. I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think is going on.
