To me, ugly is a rotten personality. I don't care what you look like, if you're hateful, rude & think the world owes you a living because (you think ) you're good looking/beautiful, you are sadly mistaken & thats not only ugly, it is truly sad. I've known very homely folks who will brighten my day just by walking into a room & I've known some "beautiful people" who would turn my stomach because they were so self-centered. You know the old saying "never judge a book by it's cover".

Someone's garbage is someone else's treasure. Someone is ugly in one person's eyes and beautiful in another's.
Some things are ugly in the sense of horrible and disturbing, unjust, etc.
Some things are ugly as in unattractive. Personal preference, dear.

Beauty is defined as something that is pleasing to the senses, especially sight. So, I imagine that ugly would be the opposite.

Ugly or beautiful is in the eye of the beholder no one could possibly tell you what it is. Sure we can tell you our version of ugly is, and mine is someone who is mean, unthoughtful, full of themselves, disrespectful to other human beings.
