If his scales are sticking you, then you have his tank too dry. Shedded skin should be soft and moist. You should up the humidity level in the tank (you can do this by misting the tank with warm water at least twice a day, and you can also turn the heat lamp where it is shinning directly on the water dish). Be sure that the water dish is large enough that the snake can fit his whole body in to soak, as he will spend most of his time soaking when he begins to shed (especially if the humidity is low). There's nothing wrong with him having only one eye cloudy, the other will cloud soon. You can also use products sold at local pet stores that help with the shedding process.

My advise to you would to be to go to one of your local pet stores and get a handbook on ball pythons. It will help you in the long run.

As the others have said, it sounds like starting to shed with some problems. The bathroom shower trick works well, also sink of warm water to dip him in (not head), or something that works well also is a spray you can buy at the pet shop called shed-eze or shed-eaze, it is a lubricating wetting agent you spray on your snake, it helps keep the skin more moisturized and allows for easier shed.

He needs humidity to shed try putting him in the bathroom while running the shower for about 5- 10 min a day within a week or so he should shed.Had a Cornsnake with the same dilemma when he started staying in the bathroom he looked and acted much healthier.Good luck.

Sounds like he's going to shed. Sometimes their eyes don't even get cloudy. That happened with my corn snake. He was extremely pissy and then one day just shed. No physical warnings whatsoever.

Just in case, don't hold it for a few days. Handling a snake in shedding is like bugging us gals during PMS. ^.^ It's a death wish.

If you're CERTAIN this problem is unrelated to shedding, it is likely an eye infection.
There is a duct under the eyecap that can become plugged and cause this- you may need to see a qualified reptile vet.
