He's delusional, that's what's wrong with him.

What's so wrong with you that you believe his make-believe fantasy?

Heliophobia has two meanings:

a specific phobia: dread or avoidance of sunlight
excessive sensitiveness to sunlight.

Causes
Heliophobia is a problem that afflicts hundreds of Americans, but one that suffers from a lack of true research.
Since heliophobia forces its victims indoors, heliophobia causes a Vitamin D deficiency problem. This can be corrected by taking Vitamin D supplements or drinking Vitamin D fortified milk.

In culture
The classic history of heliophobia can be seen easily in most modern vampire stories (Nosferatu was the first to claim heliophobia as an attribute of vampires[citation needed]), in which it was shown that vampires had a total aversion to the sun. This heliophobia was considered a "telltale sign" of witches, vampires, and demons.

My guess is its heliophobia, combined with him believing hes a vampire, he should have consulted with a psychologist not a doctor, psychologists are more educated in these matters than doctors.

One rare condition, some people are really allergic to sunlight

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-94155647.html

This condition sometimes surfaces with puberty, but some have been born with it.

From mild to sever. Some can get third degree burns with only slight exposure to sunlight , florescent lights and even moonlight.
A very rare condition

Loving the sight of blood, could just make you a horror fan,
Liking the taste? Iron deficient

He's a waster of time. He needs a couple hobbies and some attention from people. Get him stoned and hang out with him. He just wants to shock you because he can. I bet he didn't go to the doctor either.

no, she was not a vampire, just a sicko. but there is a genetic ailment..porphyria, they like the taste and cannot go into the sun for long, in some cases they will blister, and burn fast..i think it was king Henry the 3rd that had this. albinos cannot go into the sun. but they are not vampires..and for those who think they are it is all in their head.
