None of us have roles as we did in the 50's and 60's and marriage is no longer in vogue. and we have a professional solider that fights the wars?

So is everyone doing their own thing and what is their own thing like jobs etc etc ?

Our family unit is nowhere near like it was 25yrs. ago. People are raising their children with single parents. Most of todays kids are actually lucky to have one parent. And if they have both they usually are not married. That's the way society is these days. Back in it the day it would be totally unacceptable.

Families as any other part of society has a do your own thing and do what feals good to you attitude.
Families used to stay together (almost no divorce).Families used to care and help each other much more then now.
TV promotes anything but good role models.
Young people expect parents,and other family to provide what they want.They ignore parents, grand parents and other family when they feel they don't need them.

well, the parents went into a nursing home and the kids grew up
