Rock N Roll Express vs Ivan & Nikita Kolloff for the NWA Tag Team Tittles. It was the first time that RnR was on tv in the Mid-Atlantic area. Was an hour show and the match lasted around 55mins with the RnR winning the titles. It was so awesome and i have been a fan ever since. Wish tag team wrestling was that good now, Thanks Vince !!!

The first time I saw wrestling, it was in person, and I was 17 years old. My family had just moved to Raleigh, NC (from CA), and some friends of ours took us to see the local show.
Over the next couple months that we kept going, we saw Rick Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Nikita and Ivan Koloff, Jimmy Valiant and many others that made it big later on. I laughed my head off at the reactions of the crowd, and the histrionics going on in the ring, and really enjoyed it!
Now, I watch the WWE shows and attend live events with my son because it is harmless fun and something we can both enjoy. I know that the outcomes and stories are planned ahead of time, but it doesn't spoil the fun for me. And these guys really have to be seriously athletic to not get hurt doing these moves, and I am very impressed with that! I have read some of their biographies, and am also very impressed at the dedication each one of them has to have to keep up physically and mentally, both in the ring, and with all the travel.
It may seem hokey and fake, but there really are some good reasons to watch and have fun with it. Especially when I can find something to enjoy with my son!

The first time I watched wrestling was in the wwe it was when Lita was hurt and edge was getting tormented by Kane. Lita was going to the hospital in an ambulance and then Kane came and beat every one up and stole the ambulance with Lita in the back with the door open
I thought that was the coolest thing ever

I believe I was watching the first match in the series between Greg "the Hammer" Valentine and Tito Santana, back in the WWF days. I believe this was before Santana began using the Figure Four, though I could be wrong. I know Gregs' use it before that time.

Perhaps when Andre pinned Hogan (pre WrestleMania 4).
In the NWA, i guess it was the Steiner Brothers with that "Dogface gremlin hoof hoof hoof!" catch phrase.
Many years later there was a match between Sting and the Great Muta, and surprisingly the Great Muta won.

I've always watched off and on throughout my life, but I think I became a religious watcher in the mid to late 90's. Early 90's, I watched a little, followed the black scorpion angle in WCW, one of my favorite (predictable) angles of all time.
