first of all, im taking honors pre calculus, and math isnt my strong point. not because i dont understand something, but because once you understand how to do something, it changes and you have a more complex equation and what not. and i always seem to make stupid mistakes that i dont catch when i review my homework. so last year i did pretty well because my teacher didnt grade homework on accuracy and on tests if we got a question wrong but that question's answer was part of another question we didnt get repremanded twice. but this year the teacher grades on accuracy and i dont know about the tests yet. what do i do?? how do i get unstressed and just learn to accept my best?

You definitely need to reduce your stress level. I recommend laughter. This is really important. Laughter, smiling, and happiness release endorphins in your brain that make you feel good and your brain is then ready for learning. When you are feeling unhappy or stressed, you release cortisol which is damaging to your brain cells (neurons) and your brain is not prepared to learn. In fact cortisol destroys brain cells and thus memory. So, more laughter and smiling when working on math should help you to concentrate better and remember more. What makes you laugh? Do you have some humorous videos you can watch for 15 minutes before you start working on your math homework? After you finish your work, take a break or work on some other homework and then go back to check over your math work at another time. The break gives the part of your brain that works on math time to recover and refresh itself. You should then be able to be more alert to your mistakes. Another tip is to begin your math work early enough to allow plenty of time for the task. Feeling rushed will add to your stress and make you less able to notice your mistakes when you review your work. Make a serous effort to improve your best and you will get even better. You can do it!

You pay attention and get tutoring help. I had the same problem. Form study groups and be self-confident. The Attitude is the first main thing that needs to change before you can learn.
