Try the k-lite codec pack or the CCCP codec pack. If you already have something like that (which I assume you might since you are using MPC), first try it in another player like VLC. Sometimes certain players just act weird with certain videos.

If that still doesn't work, can you give me the link to the video you downloaded, and I might be able to take a look at it since I use MPC, too (plus I have some other fun tools). It might just be that the video is corrupt, and you may want to try an alternate or re-downloading.

[EDIT] The One and Only One is right. I forgot about that quick fix. In MPC go Play>Audio>Options. Make sure you are on the audio switcher tab. Check audio time shift, and enter in 20000 for the value (20 seconds). You can play around with this number until it is right. If it is the wrong direction, just put a negative sign in front. [/EDIT]

Delay the sound by 20 seconds. I'm pretty sure you can do this with mpc but not exactly how. Try the help section of mpc. They should tell you how to delay it.

If there is no way you can, try another media player. I strongly recommend Videolan. It plays anything and doesn't need any codecs and it can delay sound by any amount of time you want.

You need more memory and to clean up your PC.
