Yahoo has determined that Polls & Surveys users do not deserve Top Contributer badges because of the nature of this category and how people use it. It is clear to me they hope to discourage people from using this category through this decision and hope that we will find other categories to earn Top Contributer badges through meaningful answers.
They feel earning a Top Contributer badge from answers such as:
Yes, I do.
No, I don't.
2 points for me!
It depends.
I don't know.
etc.
DO NOT DESERVE Top Contributer awards!

goosiewoosie is correct. the other people on here that still have a TC badge, have it in a different category. no one in P&S has one. there was a big stink about it in the forum (can't remember what day it was) from users in other categories. you would not believe how much P&S is hated. everyone was demanding Y!A do something about P&S and the TC badge.

Simply put, Yahoo Answers says so. They hate on this Category and do nothing about the endless trolling and hate spewing forth in Politics or Religion & Spirituality....
Meaningful answers....my foot. The whole "Yes, I think so," "lol, idk," and "thanks for the 2 points" crapfest is *NOT* exclusive to P&S....it's a problem that afflicts *ALL* of Yahoo Answers. Really. Look around.
Oh, but wait, that would require that Yahoo Inc., a multi-Billion dollar corporation, *Pay* a Human Being to look around and get a clue. They can't have that, not when it's easier to just fiddle with code, make things more broken for legitimate users and *forget about it*.
Meh. Legitimate answers. My foot. There are and have been legitimate answers here--not just mine thank you.
This is just Yahoo being a prick. Pure and simple.

I had two categories, dogs & P&S, lost dogs a couple of weeks ago & have no idea why. Then Monday morning I lost P&S & received dogs back. I think everyone lost theirs on P&S because I posted a question regarding this on Monday.

i personally love this polls and survey section - dont spend most of my time here but you actually learn about people in this section - its like human research - i think yahoo should give you guys your badges back !!!
someone take a poll on wether or not we think you guys should have your badges back - i would definitely vote yes -

Its hard to keep them, because its really difficult to maintain at least 10% best answers in this category

I've been on since 12noon it's now 6:49P.M I haven't seen one. There were there early this morning around 4:00A.M. I haven't seen any today.8/29

Yes mine is gone which explains the name change i now have to tell people that I am better than they are. That Sunday girl is really a biÂtch I have never answered a q with a yes or no answer nor a bands name. Hmmm I think she needs to remove the stick from her butt. This is why I love P&S the people are friendly.
