In current times, both our domestic and foreign policies are routinely scrutinized by the public for this, that and the other.

Impending recession? I dont think so, the Fed Chairman and committee is doing a good job with what they have keeping inflation low, and interests rate at a historical low.

I think domestic is important right now, and if we relax our foreign policy we will make more friends in the process. I mean foreign policy wise, we have the state department and CIA, if they do there jobs then we are set, we dont need the military fully deployed to do the CIA's job. After 9/11 the CIA is more robust, and went onto a recruiting frenzy, and now because the danger is realized they have proper funding so they are definitely more effective.

I think we need to fix domestically first, and take care of our citizens. Cutting dependence on foreign oil, getting relief at the pump, fixing schools, fixing health care, Fix the levee's, making higher education affordable, taking care of our veterans, reconstituting our military. etc etc.

They are both intertwined, to a great degree, the power of the corporations in our government is a huge issue that goes unaddressed as they own the media, they also export our jobs and profit from our foreign policy as they are the American interests that our policy is pursuing. we are only just seeing the level of corruption at which Washington operates, due to the corporate dollar influx/ lobbying

Merchants have no country. The mere spot they stand on does not constitute so strong an attachment as that from which they draw their gains.

Both due to the impending recession, aging population, failing health care, failing education, and most of all, illegal aliens.

Foreign is obvious, the Iraq war.
