Sexual assault and rape are the same things I believe. Anyway, it was 'unwilling penetration'!Even if it wasn't his penis. People can be sexualy assaulted in several differant means and with objects as well. What happened to you was a Horrible and Cruel thing! I am sorry you had to experience it. You should definately report it now, don't waste any more time. It may be a hard thing to do but it may also help police catch that creep and prevent him from doing the same or worse to someone else. I would also recomend speaking to a counseler. If you look in you phone book there should be a rape crisis number that can help you with that and also what steps to take to report it.Good luck.

What you experienced was definately a form of sexual assault, however because you were penetrated (with fingers), there could be a rape case. Depending on how long ago it was (I think there are limitations on the amount of time you have to report this) you could file a police report. Any documenting evidence (photos) could also help you out. Good luck with this, and I am sorry to hear about your misfortune. Just remember, they always get theirs in the end!

It is both sexual assault (for the groping) and rape (for the penetration with fingers).
The specific definitions vary by state, but generally rape includes any forced penetration -- not just with one part of the attacker's body.

I believe that it was rape. He penetrated you with his fingers and that was unwilling penetration. It may be classified as sexual assault, but in any case, it should be reported and you should be treated for any damage that could have occurred, not to mention emotional damage. Take care of yourself!

And why didnt you call the police after this happened? I am sorry, but as a rape survivor myself I cant even begin to tell you how sad it is when I hear stories like this one. You have to report this! How would you feel if this same exact thing happened to your best friend, or worse your MOM and you could have helped stop it. And it is rape. I urge you to seek counseling for it. You may not hink you need it, but you will trust me. Good luck to you and I hope you start to feel better.

this was absolutey rape...any type of penetration...which doesnt mean inside you...penetration is defined in sexual assault as being anything past the vulva..anything, meaning a finger a penis or any type of object...you need to contact your local rape crisis center and speak to one of them ...as well as report this to the police....nothing you did was wrong as most sexual assault victims question....this pervert will keep on doing this until he is stopped hun...have the courage to help yourself as well as the next person...good luck to you

It can be classified as rape. Please report it to the police.
You may have just been his first. He will attack another woman and will do more than penetrate with his finger. He may eventually kill. Please report it to the police so they can take steps to start partolling the area and be on the look out for this person. The action you take, may save another woman's life.

Either way, it's illegal. You need to contact the police and report him. If he had a cut or something, you could catch something like HIV. I would suggest a medical exam. Hurry up, depending on the state you live in, the statue of limitations could expire if it's been awhile.

This was rape. Any penetration means any penetration be it by finger or whatever.

Assault with a deadly weapon is a felony that should be reported to the police. The longer you wait, the harder it will be for the police to do anything.
